DOUBLE SIDED ADHESIVE TAPES have been a DIY Plastics speciality since our very earliest mail order catalogues in the 1970. Double Sided Film Tape (photo on left) is ideal for fixing Clear PVC & Polyester and other flexible plastic sheeting. Double Sided Foam Tape offers tough outdoor quality with extra strong acrylic adhesive for sticking all types of plastic including rigid sheets, and Double Sided Mastic Joining Tape is a type of "strip adhesive" to stick polythene without cracking or hardening

OUTDOOR WEATHERPROOFING TAPES will help you with all sorts of tricky fixing jobs around the house & garden. Clear Waterproofing Tape is ultra-clear for repairing cracked glass, sealing the joins between Corrugated PVC sheets or mending tears in PVC. Bedding Tape is a clean and easy way to seal plastic glazing sheets into a rebate while still allowing the necessary expansion movement. Flashing Tape is heavy duty aluminium facing on a bitumen adhesive base - ideal for roof to wall joints with corrugated or flat sheet. Aluminium Tape is a lighter-weight version for flashing round upstands, pipes, gutters etc. Finally a special Primer for sealing brick, concrete, stone or timber before applying Flashing or Aluminium Tape or other self-adhesive products.

FILLERS & MASTICS are a key part of the DIY Plastics offer - you should never use putty or any sealant that sets hard with plastic sheeting. Silicone Sealant (see photo on left) is one of the best for plastics as its rubbery texture allows movement with heat changes, and of course it's an all-purpose waterproof gap filler & sealer all round the house. It's essential to use the correct formulation of Silicone so don't buy any old cartridge or you could damage your plastic glazing! For filling larger cavities use Expanding Foam: dries hard & can then be trimmed to shape & overpainted. Or a more traditional oil-based Mastic - use like putty but again allows necessary movement.

ADHESIVES FOR PLASTICS include a general purpose Contact Adhesive suitable for most plastics. Acrylic Glue (photo right) is ideal for building display cabinets: it sets completely clear when used to join Acrylic or Perspex sheet to itself and can be used to glue in place special Acrylic Hinges (see below). Polystyrene Cement is similarly used for glue polystyrene sheeting together.
