DIY double glazing was one of the first big applications for plastic sheeting in the home - much safer and easier to work with than glass, and light enough for secondary glazing sheets to be removed and stored if not needed in the summer. Cut your heating bills and reduce draughts and condensation with one of our keenly priced and easily fitted double glazing systems. We offer 4 different fixing systems for use with clear rigid plastic sheets - for each we offer either complete DIY Double Glazing Kits, with plastic cut to size for each window and all the fittings you need, or individual fixing components plus your choice of sheeting from our Glazing Plastics range.

NEWDAWN Sliding Double Glazing Sophisticated and versatile, but not difficult to install - Newdawn Secondary Glazing comprises clear plastic panels sliding horizontally. All frames and tracks are smart easy-to-clean white uPVC and the lightweight glazing panels can readily be lifted out for window cleaning or if not required in summer

MAGNET Double Glazing Probably the simplest & quickest way to double glaze a window yet devised - all you'll need is a pair of scissors & a tape measure. The magnetic fixing comes in two self-adhesive parts - a magnetic strip to stick to the pre-cut clear plastic sheet, and a metal strip (comes in white but can be overpainted) to stick to the window frame. Magnet Secondary Glazing is exceptionally easy to remove and replace as required.

CLIP 'N' STICK is a neat white edging system in high-impact uPVC. Stick the self-adhesive base strip to the window frame, insert the clear plastic glazing panel , and clip the top strip in place. That's it! Particularly suitable for doors and opening light windows where the positive fixing holds sheets firmly in place.   Once again, very easy to remove & replace for cleaning or ventilation.

EASIFIX is the last of our "Big Four" double glazing systems. The plastic secondary glazing panel is edged with flexible white PVC "U-strip" and held in place by nylon turnclips screwed to the window frame. Recommended for larger windows where the clips will hold even very sizeable sheets firmly in place, yet still allow for removal when required.

BUDGET DOUBLE GLAZING comprises two separate components - Clear Polyester, a super-clear flexible plastic sheeting supplied off the roll, and Touch & Close, a simple, quick-removable two part fastening tape which works exactly like "Velcro". Just trim the Polyester to size with scissors, then stick one half of the Touch & Close to the edges of the sheeting and the other half to the window frame. The double glazing can be peeled off & rolled up when not needed.

OTHER INSULATION PRODUCTS include Foam Draught Excluder for sealing windows & doors, and Heat Mirror to put behind your radiators to reflect heat where you want it. And use our Anti Condensation Crystals to remove residual moisture between glazing and double glazing panels, or for more serious damp problems try our special chemical Dehumidifier - powerful moisture attraction and can be rejuvenated for use again & again.
